F-450 radiator- repair or buy new?

I've poked a renovation project tar baby and I'm unashamedly asking fellow Farmall fans to share your wisdoms. I gotta 450 radiator with some little seeps, some cracked steel framework, gobs of encrusted dirt, and forty years of zits & dings. Should I hand it off to a radiator shop for re-build, or buy a new one? I admit bad experience with repaired radiators and that I have a hard time trusting old & brittle brass, freshly soldered and painted. This thing is a b-witch to R&R. Where I'm coming from with these questions is that, "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you were after!" I don't need any more experience, I need to hear from people that "been there & done that". Thanks, Hank
