I second that thought...Dad sold 'em new, and he always said that the main purpose of IH disc brakes was to make sure farmers had the opportunity to build some new fence! His usual advice was to swap 'em back to bands, though I can't recall ever seeing him do this on one. It doesn't take too many times of coming up to a fencerow, clobbering the brake to turn, and watching the tractor plow straight ahead because the brakes don't work worth a sh... uh, dern, to make ya hate 'em...sometimes just ONCE is too much.
