The torque spec depends on the size and type of bolt. Some of the Blue Ribbon service manuals have a chart. Basically unless you put a breaker bar on them you can't get them too tight, the crude way is to just tighten them until you are afraid the threads will strip -- othewise post the size and someone will have a torque figure.
