K-MO,I just went thourgh this with a 504. The needle valve doesn`t have enough side clearance between the valve and the seat,a small file and some emery cloth and it will stop the leak.I can not take credit for this fix,I got it from an old carburetor man in town.I almost fogot, make sure that the wire clip that holds the needle valve to the float is there and hooked up. kjm
