Certainly, but I don't think there is a grease gun available that will give it too much with two shots. He may have been concerned that a mini grease gun might not give it enough. Not quite enough is really a big deal. Lots of M's run lots of years for owners who don't know you can grease the water pump, mag/distributor drive, and the pilot bearing. I used to have an air-powered Lincoln grease gun and it gave the same size shot as a standard hand gun. I think the mini guns give less grease.
