I found the problem with my miserably stiff clutch pedal--the fork is broken off on one side and pushing the bearing cockeyed! I purchased a replacement fork at Redtrac (about $125Cdn). Anyone know if it is physically possible to swap this without splitting the tractor? It LOOKED like it was until I realized the bolts I needed to turn out are ABOVE the tranny shaft. I"m not even sure that splitting will help, unless I can get a wrench in from the front perhaps once the engine is out? I currently have the cotter pin and washer off the end of the shaft, and the return spring unhooked. I thought I could slide back the carrier inside by unbolting the two bolts, once it still wouldn"t move I realized there was yet another one hiding above the mainshaft that I cannot reach. There are still the two that clamp the fork to the shaft that I cannot reach either. Help anyone?
