Pilot bearing

I have my Cub tore down and noticed that the Brass or bronze pilot bearing in the back of the flywheel falls out. All of the bearing I have see before were pressed into the flywheel. I think that this sould be also, but never a Cub engine apart before. What do you say guys? Thanks for any input.
