And I've had a 3-inch rain overnight fill No. 2 cylinder and lock up the tractor on cranking so I use rain caps on everything. I'm a little old and it is hard to figure out when you are not going to use a tractor for a few days, so put the rain cap on it. When you are surprised by a summer rain storm it seems silly to go out in the morning to put a rain cap on. Also, rusty mufflers can leak water into the muffler at the top seam and lock up an engine before the muffler really looks that bad.
