Untill we built a trailer a few years ago my dad pulled his Farmall M all over the countryside to the local antique tractor pulls at the fairs using a homemade tow bar. It has a WF. He welded a plate on the front above the axel, hooked a chain on each side from truck to bolt ontop of spindel so when truck turned it would turn the stearing, worked like a charm. Hooked up rear turn signal lights along with the SMV sign. He went about 20mph with the filled tires and the old M went along great. When pushing 70 years young I guess he was in no hurry to get anywhere but them 2 hour trips to go 30 miles when I went with him got a bit under my skin. Tractor is still going and pulling strong yet with no apparent damage. One thing good is that the new tires he had on it got a good angle to them almost like cut tires from all the miles of towing.
