The M should hold around 12 gallons of gear oil in the rear end. The 40 M never had a distributor or a live pump, so they had to have come from a donor. If the pump has no hoses then it would have to be burnt up from running dry , if it actually has been run. Usually the belly pump is used as a reservoir and the hoses should come from there and bypass to there. It is hard to tell what pump is on it. There are several that would fit. An IH 300, a Case pump, an M&W pump would work. The B is probably worth $500 as you have described it. I don't know about resale value. Desireable is questionable. They have no hydraulics and you really can't use them for much other than pulling stuff.Collectors want them , but most don't want to pay much for them. I see them regularly for $500 to $800.
