Could be that some rust or sediment has let loose in the tank and is partially blocking the fuel supply. Check the screen in the sediment bowl and with it off see if you get a good steady stream of fuel. Or the screen in the inlet at the carb? If its not fuel maybe the coil is going bad and gets hot and cuts the circuit. Is the coil hot when the tractor shuts off? Just some ideas. You will find something with a litle troubleshooting.
