Jim, First off how handy are you with a welder? If you are you have many options. We have 5 H s and Ms and there is no trick to the front end and even power steering. A couple of years ago we bought the steering axel from an 815 Ihc combine with 6 bolt hubs the power steering less pump for $150, the used pump from a car plus hoses etc. ran another $100 plus some heavy angle iron. Last winter we put a wide front on an H it came out on a U Moline, didn't even have to drill any holes, just the center part from the steering pedestal on the H was different. Bought the whole tractor for $150, so if you want to save money and get a little resourseful it can be done. This is not an afternoon project but if you get satisfaction of building something or remodling go for it.
