Engine / engine block cleaning

Hey Guys...

I have the head off my Cub engine and the pistons out. The engine block is still on the tractor right now and I still need to break the glaze off the cylinders as well as remove the valves and clean them up as well as lap the valves.

All this, combined with a less than sanitary garage leads me to think I need to go ahead and remove the engine for a more thorough cleaning before re-assembly.

Do you guys recommend completely dissassembling the engine even if most of the components are within the wear specs and don't need replacement??

Any suggestions about how to get this thing back together and runing with a minimum of fuss...
