It wasn"t hard for me to change, because I was doing the clutch anyway.(it was all full of 90W gear lube) I just took off the top of the clutch housing, undid the bolts on the drive shaft, unscrewed the bolt on the transmission side of the driveshaft coupler, used a puller to remove the coupler, and then slid the housing with the seal off of the shaft, knocked the old seal out, reattached the housing, and then pressed the new seal in and did the reverse of dissassembly. It took me quite a while of off and on work to do the clutch and the seal, but it really runs great now. If you have a shop with all the amenities, it is easy. I didn"t, and had to work on a dirt floor with no chain hoist, and no heat in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. It was still fun. Go ahead and try to fix it, if you get stuck or lost, ask for help on the forum! Good luck!
