Jon: From your description, probably a H-M16. This mower was also made in an A-16 version. It was also they only mower of that era to bolt directly to axle housings. The A version bolted to final drives of A. All other mowers of that era bolted to the drawbar. Not sure but I think there were B and C versions as well. The only differences in any of these model 16 mowers was mounting designation and hardware.
