If the engine is running you can check the timing
with a timing lite. Put a chalk mark on the notch
of the damper pulley so it can be easily seen.
Hook timing clip to No1 plug and power leads to battery and let the engine idle.

When you squeeze the trigger on the lite it will blink every time No1 plug fires. Hold the lite
near the timing pointer on the left side of the engine and squeeze the trigger. The chalked notch should be aligned with the pointer, if it isn't
have someone to move the distributor very easy until marks are aligned. You may need to loosen the distr. holddown bolt. Hal
