Gear drive 966"s are much more common than the Hydro. Hydro"s are exellent for loader and PTO work, but just can"t put the power to the ground efficiently when it comes to tillage work. I don"t think a 966 Hydro is the tractor for a seven shank disk chisel in clay. Been looking for one the same size, worried that our 966 gear drive will have all it wants. $7500 is about right for a nice one, but I doubt 2400 hours is correct for a 30 year old tractor.
