Cub-Rockford Clutch

I was checking the serial number on 69 international cub and found the J suffix, and found this to mean rockford clutch (please tell me if that is wrong). what is a rockford clutch? how does it differ froma a "normal" clutch? what was it for? thanks so much for your replies, I have found GOOD answers here in the past and enjoy the site alot even though I don't post much.
