I agree. If you get the chance watch one of the old Apollo mission launches and notice how long it took to get that monster moving compared to the jack-rabbit take of the shuttle. I was in Florida last summer and visited the cape and took a tour complete with models etc. It impressed my son enough that he is going into computer engineering.

I'm a bit disappointed that they are still having issues with pieces falling off on launch. Maybe they need to consider painting the tank with a paint that would reduce friction
and/or incorporate a bonding agent to help hold that insulation on. Maybe they already dismissed this as a dumb idea…
