Best thing to do for 50 hp is find the late style block, used in the SH-350. It already has the big sleeves in to go out to 3-5/8 bore. H crank will fit, use the H main bearings and the H rods. get a SH-350 cam grind, and try to find a SH (8043DD) or the 300-350 gas head. We got a SH with a 175 kit in it, makes 48 hp with a .100 milled off the 8043DD head. Its a stout ol SH,, I know he can run 5500 in low gear with a tall set of BF goorich 14.9X38 tires, and still have power to spare, if you wish give me a call at the shop, 574-893-7437, or 574-893-1032 evenings, Ill give you some good info on what to do to get 50hp. Email is open too. ChadS
