Next priority is to do a compression test on the #4 cylinder. If low compared to specs or the other cyls, it will sound like it is missing even if it was firing. Burnt valve would be the most likely cause. Chk that it misses on both low and high power settings. A miss at idle but firing at power indicates an intake leak. If compressions are good on all four, then the distributor cap is worth checking for cracks, especially at #4. Try substituting another cap. All the best.
