A couple of weeks ago I wrote in with a starting problem and the Opinions were unanimous that I needed new battery cables. I got a pair of heavy duty cables from WWWCurtomBatteryCables.com (Thanks Hal ) Now after taking a closer look at the wiring on my 53 Super C tractor I want to replace that as well . Its all brittle cracked and in very poor shape. I would like to completely re wire it. The price for a Restoration Quality Original cloth sewn harness that covers the entire tractor from YT is $178.21 That is way to much money for me so !! I would like to make a harness up from automotive wire Could someone tell me the correct size wire to use to do this or does anybody offer a harness cheaper then YT ? I don’t need restoration quality just plain old quality !. Many Thanks , Joe

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
