It all depends on a few major considerations..

1. Location - what part of the country are you in?
2. Condition - is the Cub in really good mint condition, has it been restored, has it been well maintained, does everything work. Are there cracks on the ears or the finals. Also what is the condition of the accesory equipment such as the plow?
3. Desireablility - are Cubs highly sought after in your neck of the woods?
4. Your Desireability - how badly do you want a Cub?

These are just a few thing to take into consideration. I have 3 of them. One I bought so that I can do my gardens with and I made sure that I was able to get a Cub-194 Moldboard plow with it. This is my 1948 - Ellie-Mae. I also added a McCormick-Deering Leveling and Grader Blade, a Cub-189 Two-Way Plow, a snow plow, a spring tooth harrow, a disc harrow etc.....

This Cub I paid $1,000.00.
The other two Cubs well differnt story...

My 1947 - Granny I paid $850.00 but it needs a lot of TLC. Jethro my 51 I got for $100.00 and he needs a number of transplants.......

I think the price on the Yellow one is kind of high. Start with a $2,000.00 offer and work up from there. He probably knows is price is up there, but he wants to be able to get what he really wants and Haggling is the way to do it.

See what else he has available as weel - even old horse-drawn implements. They are very useful and easily modified to work with the Touch Control.

Oh, yeah for that price the Hydraulics better be with it and functioning correctly.

As for the 154 - well, the price again I feel and that is just what it is - MHO... should be more around $1800.00 to $2,000.00. Start with $1500.00 and go from there.

The implements for the 154 should be worth almost $1,000.00 by themselves. And for the Lo-Boy about the same...
