Does it have the 5.9L Cummins motor in it? Does the thermostat housing have space for two thermostats, but there is only one visible? It"s just a thought, but sometimes one of the thermostats can break and fall down into the water jacket further, causing overheating. Are you sure that it is actually getting hot? I wonder if there"d be a way to take out the sending unit and install an aftermarket capilary type temp gauge like the old Farmalls had to verify the temp. Often those fittings are just pipe thread.
