I failed to notice about shock in first post.But someone made a shock to mount on rear of the pipe seats.The lower bracket to mount shock bolted to top bolt on PTO sheild and rear bolt on top cover,the top bracket went to pins in seat mount. I still have one kept from a H we used on farm for years.I liked the way that seat set better than the other type if the spring was adjusted right.Without a picture of the seat im just taking a guess.
