My dad purchased an International 806 new in the 60's. It was his first new tractor replacing a D6 Caterpillar. We worked ground exclusively with it and collectively my brothers and I put countless hours on it over the years. That tractor has had no down time due to any significant engine problems. The rear end has needed some attention and thats about it. I remember the thing turned on a dime and drove well.It is still a working tractor though it is relegated to ditching and throwing levies (irrigated vegetable crops, Salinas Valley California). Newer bigger, much bigger tractors have replaced it. My uncle who farmed next to us had the same tractor with four wheel assist. It has since been lost to humanity and I wish I new where it was. I don't know about best or not but I can tell you it was really good!
