The spike will weigh less than a bucket/grapple fork so this will help. As far as the narrow front, they are a bit easier to tip than a wide front, will steer harder, but will stand up to the load. I would suggest that if you are going to lift heavy loads with a a loader on an H, you put the braces between where the loader mounts on the side frame rails and the rear axle like Allen in NE has done. This will help prevent the torque tube from breaking under load. Like others have said, keep the load low to the ground for safety's sake.
