Hi All!, If the B-17 you saw was the CAFs, It was "Sentimental Journey". She is in Albany NY Aug 8-11 as we speak.
She is the only one flying right now. FAA issued a major directive on Wing mounts and structure integertive. She is out of the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force @ Mesa,AZ.
"Texas Raiders" Is still at Houston, Texas, her home, with her wings removed while work and inspections are being done.
OBTW.....The CAF has the only flying B-29, Super Forteress and the OLDEST flying B-24, Liberator. To name a couple of planes that are easily recogizeable.
