attempted scam?

I got a call saturday about the H I sold last month. The guy said he was calling from NY city and looking for a tractor to export to africa. The area code (646) checked out but there were a couple things that really made me leary after hearing just that.
1) I could barely understand him
2) when i told him the one I still have is an articulated 200hp tractor he wanted to know if it was 4 or 6 cylinder.
It seems like someone really looking for a tractor would have some understanding of what that means, wouldn"t it?
