I would add one thing to what Hal has suggested. Take a pressure washer to the water jacket. If you don't have a pressure washer handy, go to a car wash. If you haven't done so, remove the water jacket cover and blast between the cylinders - especially at the bottom. Over the years a lot of sediment can accumulate in there. Merely "dipping" it in a tank won't sufficiently remove the grit and rust. I was amazed at how much came out of the block of my '47 H. Dry it immediately afterward and lightly oil all bearing surfaces so rust doesn't form on them.
