With the timing marks on your cam and crankshaft aligned are for the valve timing. You're probably 180 degrees off with your distr. You need to pull No1 plug and bring No1 piston up on the compression stroke until it's at TDC and your timing mark is in aligned with the indicator on the clutch housing. Your rotor should now be at No1, if not pull the distr. and rotate rotor to No1 position and reinstall. Since the rotor rotates CW your plugs wires should be going to the plugs in this order 1-3-4-2.
