Gordo - Here's a simple bench test: Wire the switch in series circuit with a test lamp and a 6 or 12 volt battery. (I.e. wire battery pos post to the switch, then switch to the lamp, and finally from the lamp back to the battery neg). Any lamp drawing 2 - 5 amps will work. If you are using a 12 volt battery a 12 volt headlight bulb, 1157 or 1157 stop light bulb, is good. Or if you have a 6 volt battery use a 6 volt headlight, 1134 stop light, etc. Now if the lamp lights with the switch pulled out and goes dark with the switch in, the switch is OK.
