As stated, the 282 has a reputation for being an real bear to get started, however...there are exceptions to this. I have one in a 560 that is a real good starter. I have already started it to -12 F when the engine heater failed. It was a bit grouchy, but did go. In the winter I run straight 10-10W oil, and at least 75% #1 fuel. The valves and seats are all very close to original factory spec, and the pump and injectors are all good. Good batteries are a must and also good glow plugs. My 2 cents.
