I have the same problem. I take the bottom of the oil bath air filter off every time so it does not flood. Some times I have to take out the little plug in the exhaust manifold to start it after it floods out.
I know this is not much help but its more info.
I am considering changing out the air filter to the dry type to see if this helps. Once it starts it runs fine.
I should do a carb rebuild also. good luck.
