If I understand you right the pully is pressed on. I just did my mower as I broke the unit badly on a tree. I had to heat the shaft with a torch and keep pressure on it in a press could not get it to move with just a hammer etc. Then had to repeat the process to put it back on. I am not positive we are talking about the same part though. The guys over on the Farmall Cub site are the very best suggest you try them before you go to far.
