In the parts book cover & front plate change at 228082 making it
change at mid 1950. The holes are a little different. A M&W pump
fits either, it has an elongated hole. The gear doesn't show a #
change in the catalog but a lot of old posts indicated they did make
a stronger gear, but no one said how to tell. I searched a lot when I
got parts to change mine.
