The only adjustment screw on the cub carb is the idle adjustment. The rest is basically controlled by float height setting and making sure the main jet is clean. Try removing and cleaning the main jet (hex nut on the side of the body)run a small wire through it to make sure it isn't partiall plugged. The other major setting is float height and drop.
