The lead stuff is just a waste of money, the gas you get now days works just fine in the older engines with out it. As far as a filter the sediment bowl has a filter and also because of the way its made also works as a filter. If you put and inline filter in make sure its made for a system that doesn't have a fuel pump or it will cause you problems.
