Bill, you are missing quite a few parts but they should all be easy to find. The fill pipe on top should be a piece of pipe 3/4" dia. by 3 1/4" long. You also need the vented cap you mentioned. Orginally it also came with a dip stick but rarely seen on many tractors after 50+ years. One could be made from a stiff piece of wire if desired with a couple of scribe lines to indicate full and a quart low. The three outlets on the sides are welded fittings from 1/2" pipe nipples and 90 deg. elbows. They are all the same according to the parts catalog. In addition to these fitting parts all torque tube penetrations also have a felt dust seal, a steel washer and a spring to cover up the balance of the opening from dust and dirt. The control rod opening also needs the same items. The fill and control rod openings need a larger size then the outlets. I would suggest the Nebraska Cowman who is a regular on this forum for the fitting parts. His email is howster@nebnet.net. The dust cover pieces I noted can be obtained from Ron Berlage at Pilot Knob Restorations as they are listed in his catalog. Ron can be reached at (815) 777-0826. They are not available at CaseIH. You can determine any hydraulic hoses you need and obtain them locally at a tractor supply type facility as they generally always make custom hydraulic hoses. From reading other posts on this forum, I would suggest you not operate the system with it capped and without hoses. It seems without some relief somewhere in the system you are prone to blow gaskets and start leaks if operated with the caps in place and not hooked up to something which can absorb the pressure. Hope this helps and have fun. Hal

The Fordson F Ignition System - by Anthony West. A fellow restorer contacted me earlier this year asking for some help and advice on a model F that he was restoring. He had over a period of months spent a fair amount of his hard earned cash on replacement parts for the old "trembler" ignition. Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
