Funny, I just had the same thing happen with my H. Tractor had been sitting and I noticed the tank was empty. I put 6 gallons in and went to start it but it would not. I run the battery down and had to put the charger on. Next day I seen gas leaking and found it was coming from the front seal. Checked the oil level cocks and drained out 3 gallons of gas and oil.
My carb is off for an overhaul too. Hope the seal will soak up again with oil.
