Could it be that one of your generators is for and H andthe other for an M or something similar? The size of the pulley would have a relationship to the size of the crankshaft pulley driving it. I don"t know for sure, but it could be that an M pulley is a bit bigger. Do you have the 4 position light switch or the 3 position light switch? The thing you called a relay box on top of the generator is probably a cutout, used on the older style generators. The newer ones had a voltage regulator mounted elsewhere (by the steering column). I"m not sure of this either, but I think that by "50 they were using the regulator with the 3 position switch. The 4 pos switch was used with the cutout style. Paul
