The 66 series (except 666 and 766), the 86 series (except 686, 786, and 886), the 3488, the 3688, the 5088 series, and all the 2+2"s had IH"s 400 series engines. These engines were 414, 436, or 466 cubic inches, depending on the application. The higher horsepower models were turbocharged, and some of the last ones were intercooled. A 1086 has a DT-414. The 666, 766, early 686 and early 886 had 300 series engines, which were 312 or 360 cubic inches, and basically just a downscaled version of the 400 series. The late 686, 786, late 886, 3088, and 3288 had IH"s German-built engines, which were 310"s and 358"s.
