The tractor industry wasn't/isnt like the auto industry, though. There is no such thing as a "model year" with tractors, just the production year. The serial number only indicates the year of final assembly.

A tractor like the C is essentially the exact same tractor from the beginning of production through the end, and that production could run for several years. Parts are used in the order that they arrive at the final assembly plant; they didn't stop using "1950" castings simply because they were building "1951" tractors.
