That was one of the symptoms my H had, worse when cold, first backing out of the shed.
When the clutch started to slip I replaced it. When I got it out I found that the friction disc was in excelent shape, the problem was the pressure plate - seems that the springs had gotten weak. The pedal feels better now and no more jump/shudder.
BTW, I went ahead and replaced the disc, too, 'cause I had ordered a kit and had the new one.
