Go with the 3 1/4 kit and look fer a 140 head it izz 'bout haft the CC of a 100 head and will boost yer compression. A 140 cam will get ya a few more HP but you also will have to turn it a few hundred RPM more to git it. the 140 head & cam izz a direct bolt on. the push rods may be shorter for the 140 head, I don't remember. stay around 26 to 28 degree total advance on the dist and spark knock will not be a issue. I have one set up this way and its more power than it needs. I also have a used 100 head, valve and guides are worn out. I had a 140 engine with a cracked block and used the head, cam, gov,timming cover, cam and crank gears. Wuz gonna use the crank but the crank pulley for the 140 uses a smaller belt than the 100. This wuz a 123 engine. When you assemble the lower end spray soapy water around the rear seal and blow compressed air around the inside of the crank seal aera and check fer leaks. I use gray silicon on to seal up the rear seal covers and also on the timming cover, I have not had much luck with gaskets only seems all I git hold of the covers a warped up and leak.
