Super A cooling system flush?

While I'm awaiting UPS to bring me back my governor, and thus while the radiator is off, should I try and flush the cooling system in the engine and/or the radiator, and is there any best way? Just use a hose in the top line and let 'er run out the bottom one?
I got some crud out the petcock on the radiator while draining the coolant, is why I'm thinking about it.
