You may not have the distributor timed correctly. You need to remove No1 plug and bring that piston up on the compression stroke to TDC. That's the plug near the radiator. Then look to see where the rotor is pointing, should be at No1 plug wire. If way off the distr. needs to be pulled and rotor set at No1. If rotor is ok you need to for a fuel problem since you have fire. Check your plug wires for being connected in the correct firing order 1-3-4-2 in the direction the rotor turns. Hal
