If you like to farm, may I remind you the very first year I plowed 100 acres, I was farming 250 acres and I plowed that 100 with Farmall 130 and 2x12 fast hitch plow. It was a dairy farm and other tractors on the farm included a Farmall 300 and a Cockshutt 540. Roughly 90 hp to farm 250 acres. The 300 and 540 spread the manure and 130 did the fall plowing. My dad and I milked the cows and one of us spread manure while the other plowed between milkings. The guy that plowed was allowed to skip evening milking as long as he kept plowing. You will get along fine on 60 acres with 2 - 140s, Just keep it low labour and go with corn, beans or wheat. Don't fool with those vegetables if you have a day job. Make sure there is a custom combine operator to do your harvest. And don't use grain wagons that hold more than 2 ton. Better still find a custom operator that handles crop all the way to elevator.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
