I've had tractors for 45 years now, never carried any insurance but liability. You must protect yourself from the whims of others. If you want fire protection best approach is under contents of your shop or garage. Make sure your insurance company understands tractor is part of contents.

One other item, if your current insurance company doesn't like your specifics, time you had a new one.
