The white color you are seeing is nothing more than faded paint. It is true that IH would paint a tractor any color the customer wanted, but this option was used mostly by customers that ordered an entire fleet of tractors, such as construction companies, state highway departments, or county maintenance depts. The added cost of a custom color for just one tractor would have prevented most farmers from doing that. So, having said that, I suppose it is possible there may have been a fleet of white Ms, but there were never any demonstrator Ms. The only demonstrators were cubs, As, and Cs., and then only in the early 1950s.
